WHAT'S NEW IN v2.0
------------------

1. DYNAMIC TREND STATE ENGINE (Modules 1, 2, 3)

   The old system used a simple EMA stack check:
     bullBias = ema8 > ema21 AND ema21 > ema50

   This was LAGGING. On a stock like MU that dropped from $985
   to $920, the old system still showed "BULLISH" because the
   EMAs hadn't crossed yet.

   v2.0 replaces this with a 5-state trend engine:
     - TRENDING BULL   : Stack aligned + EMA8 slope rising
     - WEAKENING BULL  : Stack aligned BUT EMA8 slope falling
     - TRANSITION      : Stack mixed / no alignment
     - WEAKENING BEAR  : Stack bearish BUT EMA8 slope rising
     - TRENDING BEAR   : Stack bearish + EMA8 slope falling

   The "WEAKENING" states are the key improvement. They catch
   the moment momentum shifts BEFORE the EMAs actually cross.

2. EMA8 SLOPE DETECTION (All modules)

   Measures ema8 - ema8[3] to detect the rate of change.
   When the fast EMA starts bending, you know about it
   immediately — not 5-10 bars later when it finally crosses.

   New dashboard label: "EMA8 SLOPE: RISING / FALLING / FLAT"

3. PRICE vs EMA8 PROXIMITY CHECK (Modules 1, 2, 3)

   Measures whether price is riding tight on EMA8 (healthy
   momentum) or extended far away (overextended / risky).
   Uses ATR * 0.5 as the threshold.

4. EXPANDED 8-POINT SCORING (up from 6)

   Old scoring (6 conditions):
     1. EMA 8 vs EMA 21
     2. EMA 21 vs EMA 50
     3. Price vs VWAP
     4. RSI momentum
     5. ADX trend strength
     6. Volume surge

   New scoring (8 conditions):
     1. EMA 8 vs EMA 21          (structure)
     2. EMA 21 vs EMA 50         (structure)
     3. Price vs VWAP             (institutional bias)
     4. RSI momentum              (momentum)
     5. ADX trend strength        (trend strength)
     6. Volume surge              (confirmation)
     7. EMA8 slope direction      (leading indicator) *NEW*
     8. Price near EMA8           (health check)     *NEW*

   Entry threshold: 7/8 minimum (was 5/6)
   Setup building:  6/8 (was 4/6)

5. TREND SHIFT ALERTS (Module 3)

   New alerts that fire at the moment of trend transition:
   - "TREND WEAKENING — Bull slope lost"
   - "TREND WEAKENING — Bear slope lost"
   - "TREND SHIFT — Bull structure broken"
   - "TREND SHIFT — Bear structure broken"
   - "EMA8 slope turned POSITIVE/NEGATIVE"

6. IMPROVED CANDLE COLORING (Module 1)

   Now uses 5 colors instead of 3:
   - Bright Green  : TRENDING BULL + above VWAP
   - Dark Green    : WEAKENING BULL (early warning)
   - Gray          : TRANSITION
   - Dark Red      : WEAKENING BEAR (early warning)
   - Bright Red    : TRENDING BEAR + below VWAP

7. ALL KNOWN BUGS FIXED

   - Curve.SOLID removed (does not exist in ThinkScript)
   - Color.LIGHT_BLUE replaced with Color.CYAN
   - DI_Plus/DI_Minus replaced with "DI+"/"DI-"
   - RegularTradingStart/End replaced with SecondsFromTime
   - Sqd() replaced with manual Power() + Average() + Sqrt()
   - Identifier conflicts (def vs plot) resolved
   - Session time remaining calculation corrected


INSTALLATION
------------

For each module:
  1. Open thinkorswim
  2. Go to Charts tab
  3. Click Studies (beaker icon) > Edit Studies
  4. Click Create
  5. Paste the contents of each .ts file
  6. Name each study with the v2 suffix:
     - APEX_Main_v2
     - APEX_Dashboard_v2
     - APEX_Alerts_v2
     - APEX_VolumeEngine_v2
  7. Click Reformat Code — verify zero errors
  8. Apply all four to the same chart
  9. Modules 1-3 are upper chart studies
  10. Module 4 is a lower subgraph study
  11. Remove old v1 modules if still applied

You can keep v1 modules saved in your study list as backup.
Simply uncheck them and check the v2 modules instead.


RECOMMENDED SETTINGS
--------------------

- Day trading: 1-minute or 5-minute primary chart
- Intraday swing: 15-minute primary chart
- Keep a secondary chart on a different timeframe for confirmation


SIGNAL SCORING v2.0
-------------------

The system evaluates 8 conditions for both long and short:

  1. EMA 8 vs EMA 21 alignment     (structure)
  2. EMA 21 vs EMA 50 alignment    (structure)
  3. Price vs VWAP position         (institutional bias)
  4. RSI momentum direction         (momentum)
  5. ADX trend strength             (trend strength)
  6. Volume surge confirmation      (confirmation)
  7. EMA8 slope direction           (leading indicator)
  8. Price proximity to EMA8        (health check)

  Score 8/8: Maximum conviction
  Score 7/8: High-conviction entry
  Score 6/8: Setup building, watch closely
  Score 5/8: Conditions aligning, not ready
  Score 4 or below: No trade


TREND STATE QUICK REFERENCE
----------------------------

  TRENDING BULL    = Full steam ahead, all systems aligned
  WEAKENING BULL   = WARNING: momentum fading, tighten stops
  TRANSITION       = No clear direction, stay flat
  WEAKENING BEAR   = WARNING: selling pressure fading
  TRENDING BEAR    = Full bearish alignment, short setups valid
